Green Cathedral Ministries

The Green Cathedral is a place of welcome, where people from diverse backgrounds, lifestyles, and faith journeys gather to worship, each invited to come as they are. Just up the path, Tiona Chapel offers an indoor space for connection with God and the natural beauty just beyond its windows.

A number of regular ministries take place each month across both spaces, and you are warmly invited to join in moments of reflection, community, and worship. Sunday Worship

Every Sunday at 10am in the Green Cathedral:
Green Cathedral Ministries meet each Sunday at 10am in the Green Cathedral for worship, followed by morning tea. On wet, cold windy days, we meet in the Tiona Chapel at the top of the path.

Communion Sunday:
Communion is held at the Green Cathedral on the first Sunday of each month. All are welcome.

Sunday Funday

First Sunday of the month at Tiona Chapel 2-4pm:
Join us on the first Sunday of each month for Sunday Funday at Tiona Chapel! Designed especially for primary school–aged children, each session explores a fun monthly theme such as peace, community, the worth of all persons, and more. Through songs, games, crafts, Bible stories, and snacks, kids can learn, laugh, and grow together in a safe and caring environment. Green Cathedral Community Choir

Every Wednesday evening at Tuncurry Community of Christ 5:30-7pm:
The Green Cathedral Community Choir has been bringing music to the community for more than 20 years. From small beginnings, it has grown to over 30 members who rehearse weekly and perform across the local area at least once a week! You’ll find us singing in aged care facilities, community groups, churches, and at special events such as Christmas celebrations, Carols by Candlelight, Easter services, Palliative Care gatherings, and many other occasions that call for a joyful song. All are welcome to come along to worship, sing, or both! Tuncurry Community of Christ – 4 Manning Street, Tuncurry (just opposite the bridge).

Prayer for Peace

First Monday of the Month at Tiona Chapel 10:30am:
You are warmly invited to join us at Tiona Chapel for a time of prayer and reflection for peace. In the heart of nature, our chapel is a sanctuary where the spirit can rest, hope can rise, and Christ’s peace can be shared. Come as you are—whether to sit quietly, to lift a prayer, or simply to be held in the stillness of God’s presence. Together, we seek peace for ourselves, for our community, and for our world. Sunset Reflections

Last Sunday of each month at the Green Cathedral at sunset (current sunset time is 5pm):
You are warmly invited to join us for Sunset Reflections at the beautiful Green Cathedral on the last Sunday of each month. Come and share in music, readings, moments of reflection, meditation, and encounter—with the Divine, with yourself, and with others—in this sacred open-air cathedral, embraced by nature. Stay a while and watch the sun go down, a gentle end of the day and a fresh beginning for the days ahead.
